Established in 2001, we are a small hobby kennel (not a commercial kennel) and we show and work our dogs too. All our dogs live in the house, they are part of the family and are loved to bits. We care very much about the breed and we aim to breed Labradors that conform to the breed standard, are cabable of working and most importantly - that they are healthy and have superb temperaments.

We show our dogs at Open and Championship shows and the showing is more of a hobby but we have had some good results - including several first places and multiple Best Puppy in Breed awards. We are also very proud to have qualified a homebred dog (Bailey) for Crufts in 2010. Because we also work our dogs, they qualify to compete in the BASC Gamekeepers classes at Crufts each year. Two of them have also been Pets as Therapy dogs. Lucy, Hazel, Megan and Bailey have also passed their Bronze, Silver and Gold Good Citizen Dog Scheme awards run by the Kennel Club.

Our Labradors have all had basic Gundog training on dummies and they are also working through the Gundog Club Retriever tests. In 2010, Bailey completed his first full season picking up on a shoot in Newbury, where he also worked the beating line. In 2011, Megan also joined Bailey and they are now both regular members of the picking up team. We are just starting our third season (2012) picking up on the shoot. Both Megan and Bailey love the shoot days and I take great pleasure in watching them work and I know they love what they do and they are also doing what the Breed was originally bred to do.

We are a Kennel Club Assured Breeder and we fully adhere to requirements of the scheme. We were visited by the Kennel Club assessors in 2013 and they were more than happy with our breeding practices and the level of care we afford our dogs. We place great importance on breeding healthy dogs with superb temperaments. All our dogs are Hip + Elbow scored, eye tested (yearly) and we also DNA test for PRA, CNM and EIC. tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
