Megan is Hazel's daughter and my dog of a lifetime. I have a very strong bond with Megan and I knew she was special when she was only 3 weeks old. She wasn't the pick of the litter but I knew I couldn't let her go. Wherever I go, Megan goes and we often have special trips out - just me and her. To me she is the perfect Labrador both in breed type and temperament. Megan will do anything I ask of her and has been so easy to train. She passed the Kennel Club Good Citizen dog scheme, Bronze, Silver and Gold levels before she was 18 months of age and she has also been a Pets as Therapy dog.

We have to choose which shows to enter her in to, as she doesn't like slippery floors and that virtually rules out every show indoors! She will hopefully be back out in the show ring early next year (2011) after she recovers from her litter.

I am also hoping to train her for her Show Gundog Working Certificate in the future. Megan had a litter to Int Ch Aston De L'Etang Balancet in February 2009 and the litter was superb. Several of her offspring have passed the KC Good Citizen dog scheme puppy, Bronze and Silver levels. We are currently awaiting the arrival of Megans second and final litter, to Balrion Weathertop John Barleycorn. We are hoping to keep a bitch to continue our line.
